The MTNA offers a wealth of resources for its members. Titles of resources include Webinars, Parent and Student Resources, Wellness Resources, Studio Resources, Teaching Tips, Websites for Kids, Copyright Information and Essential Skills. There is much to explore and learn on the MTNA website.
"This is a database of classical piano music found in anthologies..... It is of particular interest to piano teachers who may wish to find which books a particular piece is in, or what pieces are available at any specified level, pieces by a certain composer or in a particular time period. There are currently 5,000 pieces listed. The database is constantly updated." (From the Rastall Music Studio website.)
This link takes you to the jackpot of website links for teaching. Websites for Kids is a compilation of websites gathered by the MTNA as an "overview of selected websites that teachers might find helpful for augmenting lesson materials-particularly to enhance those six practice days between lessons!" (from The categories of websites are Performer-Based Websites, Symphony-Based Websites, and Music Game/Theory/History/Listening Websites. There are also Teacher Resource Websites.
The MusicLink Foundation's goal is to help children who deserve the opportunity to receive music lessons but cannot afford them. It links low income families with professional music teachers who are willing to reduce their fee to make the lessons more affordable for the student. Assistance is also available for music, materials, instruments and music camp scholarships.

is a website of great music activities that other teachers have developed. There is a charge for downloading materials but you can have your materials immediately.

Color in My Piano
Joy Morin is a piano teacher in Ohio and on her website is a plethora of ideas for teaching piano. Included on her site are many free downloads including worksheets, games, lesson plans, ideas for summer camps, live broadcasts of subjects such as "when to move on to a new piece" etc. She can be followed on Pinterest, Facebook, or receive her blog updates directly in your email box. This is a great site for the new piano teacher as well as those who have taught many years.
