*Grandfather clause - MTNA members age 65 or older as of 2002 are considered Senior members. Beginning in 2003 MTNA members must be age 70 in order to receive Senior membership.
Membership is open to all individuals professionally engaged in any field of musical activity. Dues for individual, senior, and student membership are combined mandatory state, and national.
Student membership in MTNA, NDMTA, and local chapters is open to all full-time college student currently involved in music study. This category of membership is particularly recommended for students already teaching and for those who plan to teach after graduation. Official student chapters may be organized on college campuses or in any area, but formal organization is not required for student members.
Benefits include a subscription to the American Music Teacher and opportunities to take part in activities of local, state, divisional, and national associations. Renewals will be billed by MTNA and are payable July 1st. If your dues are paid later than this date, your name may not be listed in the current directory/handbook.
