Devils Lake MTTA History

The Devils Lake Music Teachers Association dates back to the 1960s when Mrs. Alma Studness helped to organize the local teachers. Mrs. Studness was a legendary teacher who as a young woman, had a career as a concert pianist. Recently, our group has been meeting every other month for programs. We usually have a representative at state level conferences. Every spring, we hold a recital featuring the graduating senior students of each member teacher. There are three active member teachers.
